BPP & Associates was founded by Alison Burgess and Andrew Gardler to bring hands-on, execution-focused consulting to industries where operational excellence drives competitive advantage. Our history
Alison Burgess:
Alison is a performance transformation leader specializing in recovering margin, productivity, and execution discipline in complex operating environments. She brings sharp diagnostics and hands-on leadership to help organizations uncover where value is leaking and convert strategy into measurable results.
Alison spent 15 years at Loblaw, Canada’s largest grocery retailer, leading enterprise-wide process design and performance improvement in partnership with senior executives. She later worked directly with the C-suite at Vale, leading global operational excellence across Canada, Brazil, and Indonesia, focused on productivity, cost, and execution reset. Earlier in her career, she held leadership roles at Honeywell and in international risk management consulting, building a strong foundation in operational strategy and large-scale change.
Known for a people-first, execution-driven approach, Alison works alongside leadership teams to align decisions, build capability, and embed improvements that make change stick.
Andrew Gardler:
Andrew brings over 30 years of experience designing and leading operational excellence and continuous improvement programs across manufacturing, retail, transportation, and mining environments.
He has led process design and performance improvement teams using Lean Six Sigma and robust operating system design to drive productivity, quality, and execution discipline. Andrew is known for translating methodology into practical solutions that deliver results quickly, embedding capability within teams to ensure improvements are sustained long after the engagement ends.
Andrew’s focus is on hands-on execution — working with leaders and frontline teams to simplify operations, improve adoption, and turn improvement ideas into measurable performance gains.
